How to Update Guide to ICS for Samsung Galaxy Note (India), Kies Software

As said in our earlier post, Samsung Galaxy Note users will be getting ICS (Ice cream Sandwich) update in India thourgh Samsung kies Software installed in your computer or over The Air(OTA) update.

The update is 0.3 GB in size and should be downloaded using Wi-Fi. ICS Update includes Android 4.0, Touchwiz UI, updated S-Note and S Memo.

Please find this steps on how to upgrade your Samsung Galaxy Note:

Note in India

goto Menu->Settings->About phone->Software update->Update.

You will be seeing a dialogue box with Software Update



"Firmware update required. Download new update. Downloading may incur additional charges. You will be able to use your phone during download. Update details (36.00 MB) improved stability."

Click on Download

If you don't have Samsung Kies. download and Install it from here. Download Kies 2.3.1 for Windows   (87MB)

Once Dowloaded, install Samsung kies. After Installing kies, please connect your mobile phone to your PC and launch kies.

Just after connecting your phone to PC, your phone will be detected and drivers will be installed.

You will be seeing the message which says new firmware version is available.
